Alicia Clark has really stepped up her game in the sophomore season of Fear The Walking Dead, but it looks like we can expect her to really come into her own in the second half of the season.
Alicia has come a loooong way since the debut of Fear The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead sister series aimed to show the start of the apocalypse, which included a lot of characters in denial of what was actually going on. Alicia was the polar opposite of her brother Nick, who was one of the first to catch on to the new world order. Alicia was kept in the dark, but quickly got caught up to speed in Season 2. However she did make a major faux pas by revealing vital information about the Abigail to a stranger on a radio, who turned out to be part of a pirate gang. This came back to bite Alicia and the Abigail crew in the ass as Conner and his men attacked their boat. This seemed to be a huge learning lesson for Alicia and the Clark/Manawa/Salazar/Strand clan proved that they too are a force to be reckoned with. Alicia actress Alycia Debnam-Carey has reflected back on the first half of FTWD Season 2 and describes her character as a teenager wanting to be treated like an adult.
TVLine's Michael Ausiello has the scoop on some Fear The Walking Dead Season 2B info. Ausiello revealed: "Showrunner Dave Erickson recently told TVLine that you can expect to meet a whole new Alicia in the back half of Season 2. Gone will be the impetuous girl who gave away critical intel over the radio to a stranger, and in her place, 'We’ll see a woman who really comes of age and hopefully regains her connection with her mother and steps into more of an adult role.'"
Alycia Debnam-Carey recently spoke about the vast difference between playing Alicia on Fear and Lexa on The 100. She said that playing Alicia, who's supposed to be a normal teenager, is quite hard. However with the way the FTWD mid-season finale ended, we think it's safe to say that Alicia's life will never be normal again. We too hope to see Alicia and Madison improve their relationship. Madison has always been a bit more focused on Nick throughout the series (for good reason), but now that Nick has gone off on his own and Travis and Chris are away as well, we're interested to see how the Clark ladies and Ofelia will fare. Are you excited to see what's next for Alicia in Season 2?
