Alexandra Shipp is the star of the new promo clip for X-Men: Apocalypse, as Storm wreaks havoc on the city around her. Can anyone stop her? Check out the clip below!
Alexandra Shipp recently dished on playing an iconic black female superhero in X-Men: Apocalypse, and in that interview she talked about how Apocalypse took Storm in and helped her. We knew that Storm was powerful before, but a new clip from the X-Men Movies Twitter page shows the devastation she causes when Apocalypse brings her full potential out of her. In it, Shipp says: "Storm's got this darkness to her. Apocalypse makes her stronger and more powerful." It's hard to argue with that after seeing the footage, though Scott Summers is giving her a run for her money when he's holding her off with his own superpowers! It's almost like there's a civil war in every superhero movie that comes out this year! Check out the promo clip for X-Men: Apocalypse below.
The plot synopsis for the film is as follows: "Worshiped as a god since the dawn of civilization, the immortal Apocalypse becomes the first and most powerful mutant. Awakening after thousands of years, he recruits the disheartened Magneto and other mutants to create a new world order. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Professor X and Raven lead a team of young X-Men to stop their seemingly invincible nemesis from destroying mankind." Things may be a little different to the past two films though, because while previously Charles Xavier was the leader of the X-Men, Raven took charge in the newest trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, which should showcase an interesting new direction for the team.
