American Horror Story Season 5's premiere date CONFIRMED

Ladies and gentleman, drumroll please. We now have an official premiere date for American Horror Story Season 5. Get ready for the AHS: Hotel to open its doors on October 7

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy sure does work hard. Not only has he made his way through four critically acclaimed seasons, from Season 1's Murder House to the most recent Freak Show, but he's also managed to get two of the most famous people on earth to star in Season 5. In case you've been living down a big black hole with no Internet, singer-songwriter Lady Gaga will soon be taking off her singing hat and replacing it with that of her AHS character Mother Monster. If you haven't already seen the Gaga teaser, check it out here. But that's not all. Evidently unsatisfied with just one super star, Murphy also decided to recruit model Naomi Campbell to the Season 5 cast. Recently joined by Glee actor Darren Criss, who will be playing a character called "Justin the Hipster", the star-studded cast are already filming the next installment of Horror Story. "But when will I get to see it?" We hear you asking. Well, it has now been revealed that AHS: Hotel will premiere on October 7.

As it makes its way round the TV Critics Association press tour, network FX has let us in on a few release dates, and looks like it's going to be a busy fall for them. As well as Horror Story's debut on October 7, Fargo Season 2 will also premiere that month, while new series The Bastard Executioner will kick off on September 15. But let's not get distracted. Although admittedly devastated by the departure of mainstay Jessica Lange, fans can't wait to see what Season 5's hotel looks like. Run down and in need of a little scare factor to make things more exciting, the art deco style Los Angeles guesthouse will see a number of deranged visitors check in as the season goes on. Regulars Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters and Emma Roberts will all be back with a vengeance, and as usual will be under the guise of a completely different set of characters from last season. Excited? You can bet we are! Give us all the Gaga, guts and gore you can muster, Murphy! Are you looking forward to your first look inside the American Horror Story Hotel?
