It sounds like Team Arrow will be getting a lot more help from Curtis Holt in Arrow Season 5, and he'll play a similar role to Cisco on The Flash.
Curtis Holt was one of the best things about Arrow Season 4. It's true that the latest season of Arrow left us feeling a little bit cold, but Echo Kellum's Curtis Holt was always a ray of sunshine in what was a very bleak season of television. It's been widely said that the show is in need of a serious shake up, maybe it could learn a thing or two from The CW's other DC Comics superhero show, The Flash. We've already heard that the Green Arrow will be getting a new costume in Season 5, which we're looking forward to seeing. Stephen Amell's also told fans that Season 5 will have the most brutal fight scene in TV history, which has us very intrigued indeed. We've now heard that Curtis Holt will be getting a larger role in Season 5 and will act as Team Arrow's Cisco.
Arrow's executive producer, Wendy Mericle, told TVLine that Curtis Holt will be more involved in Season 5 and will be a little bit more like The Flash's Cisco. "As he evolves into becoming Mr. Terrific in Season 5, one of the things we're really exploring is differentiating [him and Felicity] by having Curtis be more like Cisco on The Flash. We want him to be a bit more hands-on, a little more about building physical tech," said Mericle. This would mean that Team Arrow will now have their own gadgets guy and no longer need to go to S.T.A.R. Labs in Central City for their cool new tech. Curtis, much like Cisco, also likes to delight us with the odd movie reference from time to time, so expect more of those in Season 5. Who knows, he might even get to start naming a few new villains. However, we'd be seriously questioning his naming ability if he was the one who came up with Mr. Terrific. What did you think of Curtis in Season 4?
