Have you been wondering who all these mysterious Fantastic Beasts protagonists really are? Wonder no longer, folks; this behind the scenes video is all you'll ever need

Aaaall the way back in November we noted down everything we knew about the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie trilogy. Unsurprisingly, the list wasn't exhaustive back then, but this new behind-the-scenes preview video will certainly help flesh things out. Posted to the official Pottermore YouTube account, this BTS featurette transports you back to the heart of J.K. Rowling's extraordinary wizarding world, as if by magic (#sorrynotsorry). Were you one of those kids left heart-broken when they didn't receive a letter from Hogwarts on their eleventh birthday? Take three minutes out of your day to watch this video - go on, it might numb the pain somewhat. It begins with Eddie Redmayne (and we do mean Redmayne, not Newt Scamander - we're behind-the-scenes, remember!), and he says: "This world: It's been a wonder really! It's just unlike anything I've ever been a part of." Bear in mind that this man won an Oscar for his performance as Stephen Hawking - that's one heck of a comment! The video follows the faces behind the four main characters in the upcoming feature film: Redmayne, Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Katherine Waterston (Porpentina Goldstein), and Dan Fogler (Jason Kowalski) - check it out below!

David Yates and David Heyman - two of the genius minds behind the Harry Potter film franchise - are also featured. Yates recently professed his love for the Fantastic Beasts script, and he's at it again in the featurette: "It's incredibly exciting. We're working directly with J.K. It's her first screen play. It's her magical universe, but transposed to New York in 1926." Heyman (who, incidentally, seems like one of the nicest men in the film industry) then chips in: "It's this vivid, lively, beautiful world that Jo has created." Yates, Heyman and Redmayne then combine to give a basic overview of the Fantastic Beasts story - but you know all that by now! Let's skip ahead to the character descriptions. As Heyman explains: "There are three other central characters. There's Tina Goldstein. She has a sister, Queenie. And lastly, there is Jacob - a muggle, or a No-maj, as they're called in this world." If you want to learn more about the characters, we suggest you watch the rest of the video - our job is just to get you excited! Keep checking back for more Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them news - we'll have plenty on melty! Do you think the Goldsteins are a relative of Anthony from the Harry Potter novels?
