For those of you who were so excited to get your hands on Grey, E.L. James' second version of Fifty Shades of Grey written from Christian's perspective, good news. Fifty Shades Darker is all set to be released from Mr. Grey's point of view
Anyone's who has already read - or even just glanced at - E.L. James' latest addition to the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, Grey, will have already experienced that "I definitely won't be able to look my mother in the eye for the next few hours" cringe feeling. Although the British author has already finished the trilogy and overseen the release of the first film adaptation, Fifty Shades of Grey, James apparently isn't willing to stop there. Released on June 18, after supposedly leaking on the black market beforehand, Grey tells the first novel from the perspective of the twenty-something billionaire businessman Christian Grey. Even 'dirtier' than the original, according to the author (ooh la la), Grey reveals more about its title character, coming packed with even more sex scenes. Readers find out that Grey resented the fact that his love interest, Anastasia Steele, was a virgin and that he was even prepared to go 'vanilla' for her if she didn't accept his offer.
If that got your attention, you're in for a treat. In a recent interview with DivaMoms.com, James revealed that she is going to publish a second book from Christian's perspective, mirroring the events that took place in the second novel. "I will most likely write Fifty Shades Darker from Christian's point of view," James explained. There was no indication if the third novel in the franchise, Fifty Shades Freed, is going to be rewritten at any stage, but perhaps if every Grey fan across the globe crosses their fingers, they could make it happen. If this is the case, this will mean a total of six books and possibly even six films. Actor Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) have already signed up for the Fifty Shades Darker film, which will be released February 10 next year. Rumours continue to speculate as to whether Jamie Dornan will go full-frontal nude in the upcoming film, but so far, nothing has been confirmed. Have you already raced through Grey? If so, what did you think?
