The cast of Fifty Shades Darker just keeps growing and growing, and now Tyler Hoechlin dishes on his character, Boyce Fox. Find out what he revealed below
Tyler Hoechlin is best known for his work on Teen Wolf, but has now landed himself a role in Fifty Shades Darker as author Boyce Fox. Who is Boyce Fox we hear you say? During an interview with HeyUGuys, Hoechlin teased his character's involvement in the franchise by saying: "So I'll tell you what I can tell you. Boyce Fox is an author that Dakota Johnson's character is very fond of his work and so he is someone she is interested in bringing into the company, and that's all I can say." In the novels, Boyce is Anastasia Steele's first author who she single-handedly signs up to join SIP (Seattle Independent Publishing), but just before their first meeting, Ana receives a ransom call from her former boss, Jack, so she cancels. The character of Boyce Fox is referenced in the books but does not make a direct appearance in the narrative. It seems that the part has therefore been fleshed out to signal a greater moment in Ana's plotline.
Hoechlin joins the Fifty Shades Darker cast along with Bella Heathcote, Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson and Hugh Dancy. Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are currently being filmed back to back in Vancouver and are directed by James Foley. Production is well under way, having even filmed the dramatic helicopter crash scene in Fifty Shades Darker, where Christian loses control of his chopper after an act of sabotage by Eric Johnson's Jack, who Christian fired from SIP after a nasty case of sexual harassment. Rumour has it that Ana finds out that she is pregnant around the same time when her first meeting with Boyce is scheduled and she receives the call from Jack. That is definitely far too much stress for a mother to be! Are you excited to see Tyler Hoechlin as Boyce Fox in Fifty Shades Darker?
