The season finale for Game of Thrones is fast approaching! Will Daenerys finally return to Westeros and sit on the Iron Throne? Check out the brand new spoiler photos for Game of Thrones Season 6: Episode 10 below!
Romance appeared to be on the cards for Daenerys and Yara in Game of Thrones Season 6: Episode 9, but that's the last thing on Dany's mind now that she's secured a fleet of Greyjoy and Astapori ships. After six seasons, will she finally arrive in Westeros with her army and dragons in the finale? The trailer for Game of Thrones Season 6: Episode 10 doesn't tease any sort of invasion, but with the siege of Meereen lifted, we wouldn't be surprised if it happened sometime soon. Although that being said, there is the small matter of Euron Greyjoy to deal with. HBO has released six new promo images for the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale, which is titled "The Winds of Winter", check them out in the photo gallery below!
While the photos are fairly cryptic, they do tease that we could be in for an explosive finale. The Lannister host is returning from the siege of Riverrun, and judging by another image of Jaime dining with Walder Frey, the host is headed straight for the Twins. With the Lannisters now weaker than they've ever been and in desperate need of strong allies against the Sparrows, could Jaime make a surprise alliance with Jon and execute Walder, getting justice for the Starks for the Red Wedding? We can't see it going down exactly like that, but we'd like to think Brienne has changed Jaime and that he'd consider avenging the Starks. Walder Frey is a nasty piece of work after all.
In King's Landing, Ser Loras' trial commences, which inevitably means that Cersei will be plotting her survival too. Does she plan to use the wildfire that is likely still hidden underneath the city to wipe out the Faith Militant? Bran's also back just chilling in the snow, and Tyrion appears to be giving Daenerys counsel. Elsewhere, Davos is seething with anger at Shireen's death, and something tells us that he won't allow Jo ton let Melisandre off easy. Particularly interesting though is the image of Targaryen and Lannister in Meereen, where Dany is addressing Tyrion sitting down on his own level rather than standing up, showing that she clearly has a great deal of respect for the man.
