Game of Thrones Season 6: Iwan Rheon dishes on Ramsay's latest victims

Not a week goes by that Ramsey Bolton doesn't sentence somebody to death. Game of Thrones Season 6: Episode 2 saw yet more victims suffer an early demise, and Iwan Rheon shared his thoughts on it all

Ramsey Bolton is *ahem* bloodthirsty at the best of times, but "Home" took things to a whole other level! The sadistic bastard (in both senses of the word) embarked on a brutal killing spree in the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, ensuring that he (and he alone) would be there to lead the Boltons into a new, more prosperous era. After Ramsey's father, Roose, learnt that he had birthed another son, Ramsey clicked into crazy-psycho-killer mode, immediately disposing of Lord Bolton, before releasing a pack of hounds on his newborn baby brother. Charming. Actor Iwan Rheon shared his thoughts on this latest development with Entertainment Weekly: “It shows a level of ambition we’ve not yet seen. His problem solving is quite basic. It’s very similar to how a lot of how totalitarian dictators solve their problems by getting rid of anybody in their way, with a very Stalin-y way of doing it.”

Hate him as you must, but Ramsey Bolton deserves credit for being a truly excellent strategist. Sure, he likes inflicting pain on others a little too much to be normal (a fact that Theon would surely attest to), but he knows what he wants and he knows how to get it. However, Rheon explained that this short but serious killing spree was very... Well, it was very un-Ramsey: “It’s not calculated, it’s reactionary,” the actor said. “And it has an effect on him, which he didn’t expect.” The writer of "Home," David Hill, agreed: “Ramsay’s sad, he’s not a complete psychotic madman. He regrets having to kill his father. He’s actually trying to live up to this father’s standards and become the man his father wanted him to be — in his own sociopathic killer way.” So how will these new developments in the Bolton camp affect the show moving forward? Are Ramsey and Jon Snow still fated to meet in a bloody, gory battle some way down the line? After the finale of "Home," it would be hard to bet against it! Will Ramsey regret killing Roose Bolton?
