Loathe him as we do, Ramsay Bolton is a truly fascinating character. But death must surely be closing in, and Iwan Rheon has revealed how he'd like his man to go
I think we can all agree that when Game of Thrones comes to an end, Ramsay Bolton will not be sitting atop the Iron Throne. As extraordinary a character as he has been over the years, there's no way in hell that he deserves the Throne more than a Daenerys or a Jon.With the recent release of the titles for the final three episodes of Game of Thrones Season 6, it looks pretty nailed on that Ramsay and Jon Snow will face off in a gargantuan battle for the North in "Battle of Bastards." But if the Warden of the North wasn't to succumb to his fellow bastard's blade, how would Iwan Rheon most like him to go? Speaking to British daytime show, This Morning, Rheon said: "I would quite like a dragon-related death. Fighting a dragon and losing. He's got it coming, I think he deserves it." That's never a good sign if even the man playing your character wants you dead, is it?
Playing such a brutal monster must be quite a double-edged sword for an actor. Whilst part of you thinks 'yes, I can get my teeth into this,' the other half must just despair. According to (a very honest) Rheon: "It's mostly despair. It kind of gets to the point where I think 'ah, really?' but nothing really surprises me about him any more. He's not a very nice young man." Nothing like a drop of British understatedness, is there? Here at melty we can't wait for Ramsay to receive his comeuppance (and if it's Jon that deals it to him, all the better). The show is prepping itself for an almighty battle before Season 6 is out, and there's nobody who we'd rather see take the fall. Let's be honest, Jon Snow won't die, or else that entire resurrection would have essentially been for nothing... Anyway, check out the trailer for Episode 7 to get you in the mood for the remainder of S6! How do you think Ramsay will die?
