Game of Thrones Season 6: Lena Headey promises that Cersei and Jaime get "even weirder"

We all love our siblings - that's what family is all about! Then again, not many of us love our siblings in the same way the Lannisters do... And things are about to get even weirder

Nothing like a bit of brotherly-sisterly incest to get Game of Thrones Season 6 off to a good start, right? We've all seen the selection of spoiler photos released by HBO, depicting a reunited Jaime and Cersei (something we haven't seen for years, now we think about it), and Lena Headey has warned that things are about to get "even weirder" for the loved-up Lannisters. In an interview with our good friends over at Entertainment Weekly, Headey explained that, following the humiliating Walk of Shame her character endured in the Season 5 finale, Cersei has nothing more to lose: “It's probably her most interesting season," she admitted. "She really has nothing to lose and she has everything to gain from a horrible position she finds herself in.” Fortunately for her, a disgraced Jaime will arrive back in King's Landing in the Season 6 premiere, reuniting two of Thrones' strongest, long-standing allies. Oh yeah, and then there's that whole thing about them being lovers, just for added scandal...

Discussing Jaime and Cersei's relationship, Headey said the following: “Her relationship with Jaime is at an all-time weird level. It’s juicy, and it’s so f–king dark.” Excited? Sure as hell you are - we can't flipping wait any longer! April 24 is the big release date for Thrones Season 6, and the show's producers have promised that it will be categorically, unequivocally, abso-posi-lutely the "best yet"! With Cersei and Jaime reverting back to their teenage, lust-driven, Season 1 selves, we just wonder if this year's instalment may feel somewhat like the early days of Game of Thrones - which, let's be honest, still wouldn't be a bad thing! One of the main things that remains unknown about Season 6 is Jon Snow's fate (come on, you didn't expect us to write a whole article without mentioning him, did you?). Is he dead? Is he alive? Could he come back as a walker / zombie / controlled ghost-type thing? God only knows, but as long as there's incest in King's Landing, things won't be too left field this year... Have you started a countdown yet? 19 days to go...
