Game of Thrones Season 6 is fast approaching and we've got our hands on some revealing spoiler photos that tease times are tough for the citizens of Westeros. Check them out below

It's difficult to know where to turn to for comfort when it comes to Game of Thrones, and these spoiler photos of Season 6, released by Entertainment Weekly, don't really help to improve the situation. GOT producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss recently revealed that Season 6 is to be the 'best yet', so what's in store for our most loved characters? To recap where we left off with the characters in Season 5, let's start with the Stark children: Arya was last seen at the House of Black and White, where she became blind as a punishment for intentionally killing the wrong victim - Meryn Trant, who was the first name on Arya's 'death list' for killing her sword instructor and mentor, Syrio Forel. Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy managed to flee Winterfell during the first stages of the battle between the Boltons and Stannis Baratheon. We haven't seen Bran Stark since Season 4, where he first encountered the Three Eyed Raven after experiencing visions of the past, present and future, warging into the mind of others and even a Heart Tree. The Stark children have become stronger and more aware of what they are capable of as the show has progressed and this season promises big things for each of them.

After flying to safety on the back of her faithful dragon, Drogon, following the riots caused by the Sons of the Harpy, Daenerys Targaryen finds herself far away from Meereen. While searching for food, she sees the Dothraki army coming toward her and within minutes they have her surrounded. Emilia Clarke had teased what's in store for Dany in Game of Thrones Season 6, and this still doesn't bode a lot of hope for the Mother of Dragons. Tyrion and Varys have also obviously been spared by the Sons of the Harpy, as they are seen in one of the photos unharmed, and hopefully bringing the city back to normality. Meanwhile Jaime Lannister is going to be in a whole heap of trouble when he gets back to Kings Landing, bringing his daughter Myrcella back in a coffin, rather than walking by his side. However, it's nice to see that he can crack a smile with the director in between takes. Are you looking forward to Game of Thrones Season 6?
