Nina Dobrev has been nominated for the Special International Female Prize in the upcoming 2017 melty Future Awards. Read on to find out more about the Bulgarian-Canadian actress

The 2017 melty Future Awards are fast approaching and we're gearing up for our annual award ceremony to honor the up-and-coming talents from around the globe. We've already introduced you to the nominees for a few of the categories, but we want to shine a special spotlight on Nina Dobrev, who's been nominated for our Special International Female Award. Dobrev's latest film, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, hits cinemas this week, and this is her first role in an action movie - which the Bulgarian-Canadian actress shared with Jimmy Fallon is something she's always wanted to do. Dobrev's appeared in other films, Let's Be Cops and The Roommate for example, but many of you will recognize her as Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries. The CW series helped Dobrev shoot to stardom, but she unfortunately left the show after its sixth season. Now that TVD is coming to an end, fans are hoping to see Dobrev reprise her role as Elena one last time.

This year's melty Future Awards will return to the Grand Rex in Paris on February 6 for a star-studded night of celebration, awesome performances and lots of fun! Check out everything you need to know about the MFAs here. We received over a million votes for last year's ceremony and awarded many different talents from around the globe, including Teen Wolf and Pretty Little Liars star Cody Christian, British girl group Little Mix, and YouTube star Joe Sugg. The MFA Golden Carpet and the award ceremony is your chance to see some of the hottest up and coming stars, but if you can't make it to the Grand Rex in Paris don't worry, we got you covered! The entire event will be streamed live on the melty sites. Would you like to see Nina Dobrev take home the Special International Female Prize?
