If you thought Litchfield was a place for fun, games, and tonnes of innuendo, you've got another thing coming. Kate Mulgrew has warned OITNB fans about a much darker Season 4

The spoiler photos for Orange Is The New Black Season 4 tease hella trouble in Litchfield, and the general consensus coming out of OITNB HQ is that things are gonna get pretty dark this year. With just two months remaining until Piper and co. return to Netflix, the excitement is real - we can't wait to see what happens next! Will Sophia ever make it out of MAX? Will Nicky ever return to Litchfield? And what will come of the intense Stella-Piper-Alex love-hate triangle? We're also intrigued to see what effect the introduction of TV chef Judy King will have on Red. Speaking at a Netflix event in Paris, Kate Mulgrew (Inmate Reznikov herself) shared the following: "Jenji Kohan will be examining the prison system as it has never been examined before. There's a lot of laughs, but you must buckle your seatbelts, because she takes some very interesting turns." Hold on to your hats, folks - it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

Mulgrew continued: "It gets darker. It's get very dark. I think you will be very surprised, I think you will be wholeheartedly engaged, you will be riveted." Now if that doesn't get your pulse racing, nothing will! Orange Is The New Black has been a revelation since it first aired on Netflix three years ago, ardently promoting equal rights across all races, sexualities and beliefs. With the news that OITNB has been commissioned all the way through to a seventh season, we can be sure that the show will continue to champion equal rights for years to come. Mulgrew is obviously delighted with the announcement, stating: "It's a great pleasure, because I love this part, I love this process and I love Jenji Kohan. It's great to look forward to more." And if Red continues to whip up as much of a storm as she has done thus far, we can't wait to see where the show will take her next. What do you predict for Mulgrew's character this year?
