Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King reveals that fans will learn more about Elliot's intentions and motivation for conning Alison when the show returns for Season 7 this summer. Read on for details!
Even though Season 6 of Pretty Little Liars wrapped up last month, we still haven't fully wrapped our minds around how it all ended. If you still haven't watched "Hush, Hush, Sweet Liars" you can get caught up here with our recap of the PLL Season 6 finale. Although showrunner Marlene King warned earlier in the season that no new characters should be trusted, including the girls' new partners, we wouldn't have predicted that Alison's hubby Elliot is the bad guy. There were of course lots of other shockers in the finale, including Aria and Ezra hooking up after getting good news regarding their book deal. Hanna and Caleb also shared a kiss following her confession that she never wanted to break-up with him and that she's always loved him. Now we have to wait until Season 7 starts to see if these couples are headed towards true reconciliations or if they will choose to leave the past in the past. King recently teased that things will move faster in Season 7 of PLL and we won't be left waiting forever to find out the identity of Uber A.
Alison has been through a lot on the show, especially this past season with finding out that her sister Charlotte was A and then helping her to rehabilitate, only to lose her at the start of the second half of the season. King recently spoke to Variety about what we can expect to see when the show returns for what will possibly be its last season. Alison is in for a world of change after voluntarily checking herself into a psychiatric hospital. Although she doesn't yet know it, the man she just married isn't what he seems and is only with her as some part of a revenge scheme, which will play out in upcoming episodes.
King spoke about Ali being conned and revealed: "There is a rich history there between Charlotte and the character that we know as Elliot Rollins, and we'll learn a lot more about that in Season 7 and why Rollins is doing what he's doing." Aside from wanting to know more about how Elliot and Charlotte were involved, one of our main questions for the next season is why he's actually British?! Sadly, fans have to wait until this summer for all our questions to be answered! For more Pretty Little Liars updates click the green subscribe button below! We're you surprised to learn that Elliot (if that is his real name) only married Alison to avenge Charlotte's death?
