Wentworth Miller has been working hard in the lead up to the Prison Break revival, but the actor took a break from work to address an issue about an Internet meme which surfaced this week...

Wentworth Miller has been very vocal about the excitement and sheer privilege he feels about bringing Prison Break back for the revival. However, the actor most recently brought to light a matter which is extremely personal to him, when he posted an honest yet damning response to an Internet meme of himself. A Facebook page called 'The Lad Bible', which is renowned for its occasional misogyny and mocking attitude towards others, created this meme which showed two pictures of Miller side by side. The first is of him in character as Prison Break's Michael Schofield, and the second is a private picture of the actor taken some years after the show had ended. The meme joked: "When you break out of Prison and find out about McDonald's Monopoly..." An obvious case of cyber-bullying, and as Miller has a firm fan base who have been there from the beginning and is growing by the day, he felt it was his duty to respond to this post, in the form of an open letter on his Facebook page.

Reiterating the notion that you never know what is going on beneath the surface, Miller revealed: "In 2010, at the lowest point in my adult life, I was looking everywhere for relief/comfort/distraction. And I turned to food. It could have been anything. Drugs. Alcohol. Sex. But eating became the one thing I could look forward to. Count on to get me through. There were stretches when the highlight of my week was a favorite meal and a new episode of TOP CHEF. Sometimes that was enough. Had to be. And I put on weight. Big f--king deal." He continued to say: "Now, when I see that image of me in my red t-shirt, a rare smile on my face, I am reminded of my struggle. My endurance and my perseverance in the face of all kinds of demons. Some within. Some without." The actor added importance to this post by adding links to five suicide prevention organizations based in America, in order to encourage those going through similar experiences to get the help they deserve. The new season of Prison Break will begin filming next week. How do you feel about Wentworth Miller's response to this meme?
