THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE! THE TRAILER IS HERE!

The wait is FINALLY over - Prison Break Season 5 has a brand new, amazing, exciting, thrilling trailer (we've gone a bit hyper)! Nine months have passed since the original 'there will be a reboot' announcement, so it's been a pretty long old slog to get to this point, but trust us: after watching the trailer below, you will not give a rat's ass about anything else. The two-minute clip also provides some massively important (if slightly disappointing) news about the show's release date: Prison Break won't return to FOX until Spring 2017 - which proves our rather optimistic Fall 2016 theory wrong... But enough of all that. Without further ado, let's walk you through the trailer! It begins with Sara Tancredi and Michael Jr. discussing our hero, Mr. Scofield (no sign of Sara's new husband, incidentally). "He's like a storm," says Sara, "appearing suddenly out of a clear blue sky, and then disappearing just as quickly." "But storms?" asks Mikey J. "They can come back, can't they?" Oh yes, Michael, YES THEY CAN!

Cut to a shot of Lincoln Burrows, who is paid a visit by none other than Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell (oh my god, we're stupidly excited that he's involved). T-Bag comes armed with photographs suggesting that Michael isn't as dead as they first thought (he's in the more 'LOL I'm pretending to be dead but I'm not' category), which sparks an epic worldwide adventure to track him down. This journey takes them to the Yemen - to a prison that strongly resembles Fox River, truth be told - where, accompanied by C-Note, they find him: Michael Bloody Scofield. Lincoln promises his brother that they will break him out (thank goodness, because what's Prison Break without an actual prison break?), and that's where the nostalgia kicks in. Michael Scofield? Check. A bunch of 'in the right place at the right time' cellies whose help he needs? Check. Someone on the outside to facilitate the escape? Check. We may be getting slightly carried away, but this reboot has all the ingredients to be absolutely freaking outstanding! Did you enjoy the trailer?
