There are rumors suggesting that will Luke show off his incredible power in Star Wars: Episode 8 during a scene where he and Rey take on the Knights of Ren, led by revengeful Kylo Ren!

WARNING: The following article may contain spoilers for Star Wars: Episode 8!

We’ve been wondering a lot about what’s going to happen in Star Wars: Episode 8. Daisy Ridley's already said that Luke Skywalker’s going to be really cool in Episode 8, however, we still know very little about the film’s plot. We’re unsure whether Luke is entirely on the light side. He could be struggling with an inner battle: the dark vs the light. However, what we do know is that we’re going to be seeing a lot more of Mark Hamill’s iconic Jedi in this one compared to The Force Awakens. He didn't have a single line in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars movie. We also suspect that he’ll be incredibly powerful in Rian Johnson’s sequel, which John Boyega promised will be much darker and bigger than The Force Awakens. It now seems that we may have just learned of a script leak that teases Luke and Rey talking on the Knights of Rey, in a fight scene which showcases Luke’s incredible power.

According to Making Star Wars’ sources, the Knights of Ren show up on Ahch-To, which is the planet where Rey found Luke at the end of The Force Awakens, and engage the two in battle. Yet it doesn’t go quite according to plan. “Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren turn up along the coast. Kylo Ren continues advancing towards the heroes with the Knights of Ren,” writes Jason Ward. “Rey and Kylo Ren duel one-on-one and end up fighting along the cliff face overlooking the nighttime water. Kylo wants his revenge after Rey disgraced him. The Knights of Ren go for Luke Skywalker while Rey is left for Kylo. Luke Skywalker engages the Knights on the beach while Kylo attempts to kill Rey.”

This is where Luke really shows off his incredible ability with both a lightsaber and the Force. “The first black knight has an axe and moves towards Luke but is Force pushed away to his death after being thrown through the air. After Luke dispatches the first Knight he ignites his green lightsaber. Luke moves through each Knight one-by-one.” While this is going on, Rey and Kylo are locked in battle. “Rey and Kylo’s battle moves up to the side of a cliff. Suddenly Rey is nowhere to be seen. She’s taken out of the battle; she’s either wounded or appears to go over the side of the cliff. Luke Skywalker casually walks towards Kylo to finish him but Kylo retreats when he sees his crew defeated.” Making Star Wars also state that Luke’s lightsaber is green, which means he’s using the same weapon he wielded again Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. Do you think this scene will really happen?
