Jared Leto will be appearing as the Joker in Rick Ross and Skrillex's music video for their Suicide Squad track! Check out all the details below
We're all incredibly excited to see Jared Leto's take on DC's most iconic and notorious supervillain, the Joker. Leto recently posted a picture of himself on Twitter in the Joker's makeup and some rather Joker-ish looking footwear. Now, he could just be going to a fancy dress party, or he could be in London filming Zack Snyder's Justice League movies. However, after a bit of Twitter stalking, Batman News found out that the actor/musician was in Miami, therefore not filming the next installment in DC's superhero blockbuster extravaganza. So what is he up to? Turns out that he will actually be appearing in Suicide Squad's music video. You can listen to an early version of Rick Ross and Skrillex's collaboration below.
You can definitely hear DC Comics references in this song. Rick Ross says: “Suicide Squad”, “Gotham City”, “Killer Croc”, and “purple Lamborghini”, which is a reference to the film's Jokermobile. Unfortunately, Leto didn't pull a Smith and record a song for the movie in which he's appearing. We would have loved to have heard a collaboration between Leto's band 30 Second to Mars and the Fresh Prince. However, we will get to hear Rick Ross and Skrillex work together on the main Suicide Squad track. We recently got to see a new image of Leto's Joker on the Suicide Squad cover on an international magazine, now we're going to get to see him in action in the film's music video, which will drop on July 1. Hopefully we'll get to see even more of Leto's Joker in the subsequent Suicide Squad spinoff movies which are said to be in the works. Are you looking forward to Suicide Squad?
