Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles discussed their hopes for the future of their characters in Supernatural Season 12 and themes they'd like to revisit. Read on for more details!
We all love a bit of Destiel. Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins have such great chemistry together and it's always a joy to watch them share a scene, but somebody on the Supernatural cast is getting a little jealous! Not in a horrible way, though. Speaking to TVLine, Jared Padalecki revealed that he wants to try something a bit different. The actor said: "I love Misha [Collins]. I get a lot of Sam/Dean scenes, and I love Jensen, but I love exploring the Sam/Castiel relationship." If anything, it's to be applauded that Padalecki wants to keep changing things up, as he has a point that most of his scenes are with Ackles rather than with Collins. Padalecki wasn't the only one to reveal his hopes for Supernatural Season 12 though, and Jensen Ackles has also piped in on his dreams for the season.
Ackles said: "Purgatory, I thought, was a really, really cool part of the story. That might be cool to maybe go revisit. I’d also like to see more of a hunter network. I’m a big fan of the original format of the show, the monster-of-the-week kind of thing. [But] I don’t know how we necessarily get back to that with everything that’s happened." Purgatory feels a bit been there done that to us, but we'd certainly love to see a return to the old light-hearted monster of the week format!
