Athos, D'Artagnan, Aramis and Porthos are faced with their biggest moral dilemma yet this week, as they're forced to defend the guilty in The Musketeers Season 3: Episode 3. Check out the trailer below!

In The Musketeers Season 3: Episode 2 France was held hostage, and while our four heroes may have resolved that issue, Episode 3 sees the Musketeers in a predicament that they don't want to help resolve for once. The plot synopsis for Episode 3 is as follows: "Under orders, the Musketeers defend Louis' traitorous brother after he slaughters a band of veteran soldiers in a Paris tavern." In the previous episode, D'Artagnan found that he had more in common with the anti-royalists than he thought as he realized that they were both fighting against injustice, yet here he's forced to deny the slaughtered veteran soldiers the justice they deserve. This is an exciting new direction for The Musketeers, and we can't wait to see how it plays out. Check out the Episode 3 trailer below!

The trailer doesn't reveal much, but it does give some hints as to what's to come in the episode. Porthos' opening line really conveys how the Musketeers have found themselves on the wrong side of morality this time. He says: "Our own war heroes are arming themselves to march on the palace." At the time, war heroes would have been seen as celebrities and role models, and they represent the very ideals of liberty and nobility that France would have sought to perpetuate. That these role models have decided to march on the institution they used to stand for shows a complete lack of faith in the system, and it will be interesting to see how Athos, D'Artagnan and Porthos situate themselves in this because they are themselves war heroes. Will the Musketeers obey their orders, or will they stand in solidarity with the war veterans? For regular updates on The Musketeers, click the green subscribe button below.
